今作「unbalance」は、“人生なんてバランスよく進まない。求めすぎたり、落ち込みすぎたり、そうやってバランスを崩して失ってこその、この人生”という日々の想いを歌う楽曲。今作のサウンド・プロデュースはFKDが担当しており、“人生のバランスの悪さは、目覚めたての朝の気だるさとよく似ている”というbaneの実感に呼応するように、もたつきながらも時に気ぜわしいビートがダウナーな心境を演出する。
FKDによるビートの熱量と、自身が生み出すメロディの熱量の“バランス”を取ることに苦心し、歌詞を何度も書き直すなど完成までに苦心したとbaneは振り返るが、それだけに彼女の今の想いがリアルに綴られた「unbalance」。“正解”を探し続けることの苦しみを経て、「バランス失ってこそ Its my life」と宣言できるようになるまでのbaneの心の葛藤が音楽的に表現されたこの曲は、多くの人の共感を呼ぶことだろう。

bane
bane is a Yokohama-born and raised singer-songwriter whose musical foundation was shaped by shigin (traditional Japanese chant), which she began studying at the age of five, alongside deep roots in R&B and soul. Since launching her career in April 2020, she has steadily established herself as a distinctive and evolving presence in Japan's contemporary music scene. Her debut EP "air" was released in September 2022, followed by "mono" in December 2023. In January the following year, she marked a major milestone with a successful first solo headline show. In March 2025, Bane unveiled her third EP, "CONTRAST". The project highlighted the breadth of her artistry, incorporating new stylistic elements while further refining her signature sound. On April 19 of the same year, she successfully held her second one-man live performance, underscoring her growing momentum. With sultry lyricism, genre-defying soundscapes, and groove-laden yet fluid vocals, Bane continues to expand her sonic universe-an artist poised for even greater impact in the years ahead.
