シティ・ポップ、昭和歌謡やSoul/R&Bに影響された音楽性を特徴としたスリーピース・ユニットKOMONO LAKEが5ヶ月ぶりのニューシングル「春砂漠」をリリース。特徴的なメロディーラインに乗せ、対局となる言葉の組み合わせで、春らしくも異世界を感じさせる作風となった。KOMONO LAKEは台湾在住のシンガー・Kanbin、元Kero Kero Bonitoとしても知られるロンドン出身のプロデューサー・SKYTOPIA、Night Tempoほかサポートワークもこなすベーシスト・Kurojiにより2021年に結成。2022年の1stアルバム「SUNSHOWER」のリリース、2023年の台湾ツアーを経てより厚みを増したサウンドを感じさせる作品。

  • KOMONO LAKE

    KOMONO LAKE is a three-piece music project based in Tokyo, blending the sounds of City Pop, Showa-era pop songs, and Soul/R&B. Formed in 2021, the group features the versatile singer and illustrator Kanbin, London-born producer SKYTOPIA (known as a former member of Kero Kero Bonito), and bassist Kuroji, who is also active as a session bassist for artists such as Night Tempo. Since coming together, they've released three EPs and a full album, captivating audiences with their unique sound.In 2022, KOMONO LAKE hosted a program for a month on FM Yokohama and dropped a single, "Easy," in collaboration with singer gb. The following year, they successfully toured Taiwan and were spotlighted in TuneCore Japan's "WHO AM I?" campaign, as well as Spotify's "RADAR: Early Noise" playlist. As summer 2024 unfolds, KOMONO LAKE has been hailed as an artist to watch on Fuji TV's "Tune," continuing to enchant listeners with their memorable melodies and soothing vocals.
