Career day. A nursery full of eyes
Mina holds her own picture book tight
She chose this story for a reason: it was hers
She wrote each sentence clearly, drew each page
The colorful illustration — a tiny caterpillar stirs
On a leaf, under the moon, small for his age
"I'll show you a world," she told them with a smile
"It looks difficult, but listen — you'll understand."
She read them a story. The story made them glad
She taught us something important that day:
Words can be a gift you give —
And giving looks a lot like play
Words are power. Words are light
The caterpillar lay on the leaf and ate a pear, a plum
He popped come out of his dream and — pop! — he grew
"How about the ending?" — wings! The children clap, they hum
"Pretty!" they shout. Learning is necessary — and fun, too
International words on every tag and note —
Chopsticks, information, a career still coming up
Kai watched her and thought of what Bird once wrote:
Teach someone one word, and you fill their cup
She read them a story. The story made them glad
It taught me something important, too:
The smallest caterpillar anyone ever had
Can smile, again and again, and become someone new
Words are power. Words are light
From now on, she said, "I want to teach."
The moon came up. The pages sleep

Sentanbun - Movement 2: Words Will Fly

WORD WORLD (Uta-tan) Disc 2 "Grade 8"
An album where every word and grammar point from the junior-high English textbook becomes a lyric. Built around Japan's NEW HORIZON 2 curriculum, with cross-reference tables for other major textbooks on every track page.
All 12 songs continue the story from Disc 1: Kai, his companion Bird, and Mina leave the English-only world behind and set out for a city where many languages are spoken at once. Grade-8 grammar - past tense, past progressive, through to the passive voice - unfolds naturally through their journey.
Track 13, "Sentanbun (Movement 2)," is a bonus track that packs all 485 words of the second-year vocabulary list into a single six-minute song. Across all three grades, the trilogy covers Japan's full 1,486-word junior-high vocabulary in about 19 minutes total.
