"Candy Song Candle Song" is a 16-track album built around guitar rock, while weaving in elements of pop, folk, R&B, and oldies.
Created with the intention of making something more "pop" than the previous two albums, the record is far from filled with bright emotions. Self-loathing, anger, love, obsession, loss, resignation - at times, these intense feelings are processed into music like pieces of candy. There is a small sense of relief that can only be reached by crying them out loud, and this album traces the journey of protecting that relief, fragile and gentle like the flame of a candle.
From "Candy Song - Girl no shoes.," where creation becomes a way of allowing oneself to exist even while causing oneself pain, to "Candle Song - I light it.," where simply existing is finally allowed to be enough.
